PROGRAM
The program starts after Maghrib on November 23 and ends on November 26 before breakfast inshallah. It includes programs for children, youth, sisters and reports of the growing WhyIslam activities in the region. Major projects and future coordination will be discussed inshallah.

This Retreat is meant to reinforce our link with the Quran and develop brotherhood among those who are working to convey the message of Quran to humanity in Western United States.

COST
The cost per person above the age of 2 is $100. However we are requesting the attendees to pay a minimum of $50 per person or only $10 per person if coming from outside California and Arizona. If someone cannot afford this or the cost of traveling then please contact us. The cost includes accomodation, meals, gifts for kids, program material and a lot of brotherhood and sisterhood.

ACCOMODATION
The registration table will assign you the cabin at the time of arrival. The cabins will be assigned separately for youth, sisters and brothers. Each cabin sleeps 8-20 persons. The cabins are well heated and the beds have mattresses. However you would need to bring your own beddings. All cabins are located close to the common restrooms. Shower facilites with hot water are available.

MEALS
The cost includes meals from dinner on November 23 to breakfast on November 26. Meals will be prepared with zabiha meat and in American style. Snacks and beverages will be available at no cost.

WHAT TO BRING
Your copy of the Quran with translation
Warm clothing
Pillows and comforters or sleeping bags
Flashlights
Flip-flops or any footwear that exposes the feet is not allowed for safety

Turn right on Hwy 138 proceed through the communities of Littlerock and Pearblossom to Largo Vista Rd./LA County Road N-4. (Approx. 10 miles beyond Pearblossom. You will see a big billboard on the right just before the turn)
Turn right on Largo Vista Rd./LA County Road N-4. Follow Largo Vista approx. 7 miles to Big Pines Hwy.
Turn left on Big Pines Hwy towards Wrightwood. Go approx. 2 miles to YMCA Camp E.L.K
Camp E.L.K. is on the right side located at 21280 Big Pines Hwy. Please park in lot or along roadside
Camp Coulter Pines is located at 22401 Big Pines Hwy, two miles beyond Camp E.L.K. in the direction of Wrightwood, directly across from Jackson Lake. Entrance is on the left.

From Orange County/Riverside Area:
Access the 15 Fwy north from either the 91 fwy., 60. fwy, 10 fwy. or 210 fwy. Travel North on I-15 Fwy into Cajon Pass.
Exit the 15 Fwy at Hwy 138 (Palmdale / Silverwood Exit) just past truck scales.
Turn left on Hwy 138 (West) towards Palmdale. Drive approx. 9 miles to Hwy 2.
Turn left on Hwy 2 towards Wrightwood. Drive approx. 8 miles through the town of Wrightwood and past Mountain High Ski Resort to Big Pines Hwy. Watch for Ranger Station on right side. Big Pines Hwy is second right past Ranger Station.
Turn right on Big Pines Hwy / LA County Rd N -4 towards Jackson Lake / Palmdale.
For Camp Coulter Pines, drive approx. 3-4 miles to 22401 Big Pines Hwy. The entrance to Coulter Pines is directly across from Jackson Lake on the right. 
For Camp E.L.K . drive exactly 2 miles past Jackson Lake to 21280 Big Pines Hwy. Camp E.L.K. is on the left. Please park in lot or along roadside.

From Barstow and other points Northeast:
Follow the 15 Fwy South
Exit the 15 at Hwy 138 (Palmdale/Silverwood Exit)
Turn right on Hwy 138 (West) towards Palmdale drive approx. 9 miles to Hwy. 2
Turn left on Hwy 2 towards Wrightwood. Drive approx. 8 miles through the town of Wrightwood and past Mountain High Ski Resort to Big Pines Hwy. Watch for Ranger Station on Right side. Big Pines Hwy is second right past Ranger Station.
Turn Right on Big Pines Hwy / LA County Rd N -4 towards Jackson Lake / Palmdale.

Access the 5 Fwy South (or take Hwy 99 to where it meets with the 5 Fwy.)
Follow 5 Fwy South to Hwy 138, Lancaster Road . Turn left, follow 138 East.
Turn Right to stay on 138/Hwy 14
Exit onto Hwy 138, turning Left onto the Pearblossom Hwy East .
Follow Pearblossom Hwy out of Palmdale, through the towns of Little r ock and Pearblossom.
Turn Right onto Largo Vista Road/ LA County Road N-4. (A pprox. 10 miles beyond Pearblossom. You will see a big billboard on the right just before the turn)
