ICNA and LALMA (Los Angeles Latino Muslim Association) were at the the Los Angeles Latino Book & Family Festival. LALMA had put up a Spanish Islamic book stall. ICNA shared the stall for dawah. This was the first collaboration between ICNA and LALMA. The Festival was a big event, drawing more than 60,000 attendees and over 800 booths. It celebrated its 6th Annual celebration in the #1 Hispanic market in the U.S.
Nearly 7 million Latinos make Los Angeles their home and another 725,000 in neighboring Orange County make the Los Angeles/Orange Greater Metropolitan Region the consummate Latino hyper-market.
With this in mind ICNA and LALMA are to discuss possible partnership in dawah and social projects among the Latino community.
